Palestinians say Israeli Armed Forces Killed Man in West Bank Clashes

ISLAMABAD/ RAMALLAH: Palestinian medics have said that Israeli armed forces killed a 23-year-old man and injured five others early Thursday during clashes in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Arab news, Ahmed Daraghmeh was fatally injured when Palestinian men exchanged fire with the Israeli army that the entered the city of the Nablus to escort Jewish worshippers to a site known as biblical Joseph’s Tomb in a Palestinian city. The sound of gunfire has been heard in videos that Palestinian people recorded from their windows.

Ahmed was from the nearby town of Tubas and a soccer player for the town’s local team. It was unclear whether he had taken part in the tussle. There has no immediate comment from the Israeli army.

150 Palestinian people killed in 2022

According to official data, 150 Palestinian people and 31 Israelis have been killed in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the West Bank and east Jerusalem this year. Israel said that most of the Palestinians killed have been from the militant group, but stone-throwing youths and some Palestinians not involved in the violence have also been killed.
